When the palletised goods of shipments and cargos are not secured properly, it means high risks of wastage—from unnecessary use of packaging materials to damaged goods—all of which leads to costs to your business and the environment. It also means the handling of damaged products is a waste of resources, for instance, additional use of fuels to return the rejects, replacement of new products and unnecessary need for more work hours, production operations and documentation.
All of these are unnecessary wastage that contributes to the negative impacts on the environment. They are avoidable if we start the entire process with the end in mind.
