The trip to the Specialty Packaging Film Asia 2016 in Singapore was a journey toward staying current with the packaging trends. This year’s programmes exhibited some outstanding examples of

• flexible packaging,
• the brand owners’ perspectives on confectionery packaging,
• technology for barrier film production,
• details of bio-based films, and
• film recycling technology.

The event provided us with a global networking opportunity. We met the supply chain stakeholders from designers to manufacturers, brand owners, retailers, converters, producers, distributors, and importers or suppliers of the packaging industry.
